NFL goes all left wing again.

As I have said before, the NFL is now run by the Feminist/LGBT/Statist cabal that wants all things Christian out of it.  The entire NFL is against Christianity.  Christians are to be ridiculed, made fun of, ostracized, and otherwise blackballed (as in the case of Timothy Richard Tebow).  They are not welcome in the NFL except as a funding source, via ticket and merchandise sales.

Well, here's more proof: NFL sides with 'gay' agenda over Christians

This is all so very sick.  Why do we put up with this?

I don't.  I have quit watching the NFL at all and do not buy their merchandise.

But, hey! I guess y'all gotta have your Bread and Circuses!

Lions vs. Christians in the Colosseum soon, yes?!

Ted Cruz: Political Outsider... Are you sure??

There is an article about how much of an INSIDER Ted Cruz actually is.  There was an interesting comment to this article.

Here’s a little inside baseball from someone who actually knows the truth: the GOPe dislikes Cruz NOT because he’s an outsider, but because he’s an INSIDER who decided the best way to advance himself was to bite the hand that fed him. Let’s just say I am very close to someone in the GOPe machine and I’ll leave it at that.
When Ted worked for Bush, he was angling for a bigger position than he got. He actually wanted to be the Attorney General.
He thought he had more pull than he actually did, more juice because of some of his Texas connections. His marriage to Heidi was supposed to solidify his position because she was actually held in higher regard than Ted within the Texas/GOPe sphere. He was seen by the insiders as over ambitious, an opinion that was only ENFORCED by his reach to be named AG.
So Ted decided since he knew the ins and outs of the GOPe (insofar as the GOP and Bushes were one and the same), and since he couldn’t advance any further within that sphere, that he would run against them.
He ran for Senate against a GOPe favorite and won. He hoped this would show the GOPe that he was a serious contender and that they would welcome him back into the fold. It backfired, mostly because of Ted’s outsider rhetoric.
Now Ted chose to run for POTUS, which on its surface was a slap in the face to Jeb Bush and the GOPe. In truth, it was an olive branch by Ted to the GOPe.
Why? Because he was there to split the conservative vote in order to help Jeb win. He was never supposed to be in this position, but if it got down to him and Jeb, the fact that Ted isn’t natural born was going to come out, forcing him to drop out, leaving Jeb and his millions in donor money as the last man standing.
Why do you think Jeb always spoke about winning without the base and losing the primaries to win the nomination? It all makes sense now, doesn’t it?
Trump was the wildcard they didn’t expect. Ted was sent to cozy up to him with a non-aggression pact, but Trump was no dummy. He kept the Canadian Ted thing in his back pocket to use when needed.
I could go on but bottom line, the GOPe is warming to Ted because he’s is not actually an enemy, but a prodigal son who tried to earn his way back into the fold by helping Bush.

So. all of you who think that Ted Cruz is an outsider that the GOP elite do not like,  think about this:
Cruz was never “an outsider“.  The intellectually honest political observer would have to detach themselves from all reasonable cognition to avoid accepting Ted Cruz:
  • Was part of George W. Bush’s administration.
  • Was part of George W Bush’s Florida recount team.
  • Was introduced to his wife Heidi (Condelezza Rice staffer) while working for Bush.
  • Has hired the entire operational arm of the Jeb Bush campaign team: Paul Dickerson of Houston, TX, Boyden Gray of Washington, DC, Charles Foster of Houston, TX, Reginald J. Brown of Washington, DC, Paula and Jim Henry of Midland, TX, and Nancy and Randy Best of Dallas, TX. Along with Neil Bush.

And now Cruz is the Mormon Saviour of the country.  I thought we had already gotten beyond light-bringers and unicorns with BHO?

The simple fact of the matter is this:  Should Mr. Ted Cruz happen to get enough delegates to win the nomination, then it will be contested at the convention on the grounds of his Constitutional eligibility.  He WILL be declared ineligible and JEB! Bush will get the nomination and that will be that.  Don't believe me?  See above... Has hired the entire operational arm of the Jeb Bush campaign team:  They will see to it their boss - JEB! Bush will get that nomination unless Mr. Trump gets the delegates he needs up front.  Even then, they will either change the rules or begin work to see to it that Mrs. Clinton will then be elected in the general election.  All because they do not want to lose THEIR POWER!!  That is the most important thing to them.   NOT AMERICA!   THEIR POWER!!

Where's Mr. Walker?

Has anyone noticed that Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin is being real quiet right now? I think there's a reason for that. I think Mr. Walker will be Mr.Trump's pick for VP running mate.

Oh, sure.  There are those who will ridicule this and say it's impossible.  Especially after some of the things said in this campaign.  But, I think it will be Mr. Walker.   Mr. Trump knows that there is a constituency that has to be considered.  I am speaking of the conservatives, of course.  You know them.  That "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" that has been around for a while.  They are all pissed off right now that their guys aren't in the hunt.  Mr. Walker is a hero for them.  Mr. Trump choosing Mr. Walker as his running mate would be a brilliant move.

I think Mr. Trump is smart enough to go in this direction and I also would not be surprised to find out that this is something that was decided a long time ago.

We'll see if I'm right.

Angry Bernie Lashes Out at Donald Trump: “To Call Me a Communist Is a Lie”

Yeah, Bernie.  Keep saying that.  Maybe somebody will believe it ... somewhere.

Achtung! Dies ist immer sehr interessant!

German leader Angela Merkel and her mainstream political colleagues woke to a headache Monday after taking a drubbing in regional elections from a recently-formed right-wing, anti-immigration party.Alternative fuer Deutschland — which means Alternative for Germany and is commonly known as AfD...

Methinks the German people may have had enough of the "Religion of Peace", yes?

Syrian peace talks: Why this round might be different

This "Religion of Peace" is quite remarkable, yes?
There are several reasons to believe this round of talks will be different, said James Gelvin, a history professor at the University of California Los Angeles.
"First of all, Iran is involved. The United States had tried to keep Iran out of the previous talks, but since the nuclear talks, the United States is acquiescing to the fact that Iran is a player," Gelvin said.
"The second one is the fact that now you have a stalemate on the ground ... neither side is going to be able to win it on the battlefield," he said.
"And the final thing is the internationalization of the terrorism on the part of ISIS -- and now the United States is very much concerned about eliminating ISIS ... and that means you have to end the Syrian civil war to do this."
Overheard at the White House: "Oh come on!  Let Mr. I-served-in-Vietnam Kerry have a seat there!  Come on!  Please?  Pretty please?"

NCAA Basketball Tournament Field almost set.

...and, for the record, I don't care.

Gotta get to work now.

1969-1970

Dear Theophilus,

If you would allow me, I would like to take a little time to wax auto-biographical for just a bit.  The years of 1969 to 1976 were quite significant years for me.  Between the age of 12 and 20, my life went through wide swings.  I sometimes wonder how I made it through the latter part of those years.  Let me tell you about them.

First, I need to catch you up to 1969.  While in the fourth grade at Carenco High School (Grades 1 through 12) in Louisiana, my dad showed up at school and told me to get into the truck.  My parents had been divorced for a few years and I didn't see my dad much.  I'm not sure whether it was because he just didn't come often or if my mother wouldn't let him see us.  I really don't know and they're not around anymore, so I can't ask.

So, my dad is there, and he tells me to get into his truck.  We go get my sister, who is 4 at the time, and then off we go to Alabama. My mother had no idea where we went.  I didn't see my mother but once after that until around 1979, after my first son was born.

So, there I am, in a household with my dad, my sister, and a new stepmother and two older stepbrothers in Bessemer, Alabama.  I went from being the oldest to the middle.  So, from finishing the fourth grade to the eighth grade at Greenwood Junior High School, I was now in a family where I was genuinely not liked, nor did I like it.  And, as the years passed, the animosity of all parties grew more and more.  My stepbrothers seemed to get a singular joy out of tormenting me and my stepmother seemed to visibly hate me.  And for most of that time I had no idea why.  So, I became very adept at becoming invisible.  I would stay out of sight and out of mind, as that was the only way I could have any peace.  So now comes 1969...

In the summer of 1969, I played my first year of organized baseball.   I fell in love with the game.  For some reason, that I still cannot fathom, I started that season a terror at the plate.  The coach I had was John Nixon, the father of one of my best friends at Greenwood, Bruce Nixon.  (Bruce's story is something you should hear.  I will tell you about him some time soon.) John Nixon played Pro ball and knew how to coach.  I was lucky to have him.  The reason I can't fathom my hitting that year is that the next year of playing, I went very cold at the plate, almost like I forgot how to hit.  But, my passion for the game turned to pitching.  I loved pitching.  It was me against you, so to speak: The pitcher against the hitter.  As the years have gone by my love for baseball has not waned.  So, for the summers of 1970 and 1971 I pitched well, I thought. I spent every waking moment thinking about pitching, I threw anything I could get my hands on, rocks, pine cones, whatever, every chance I got.

My one glory story from a baseball game was the last game I pitched.  I vividly remember this one inning.  I had pitched 4 good innings, but I knew I was getting tired.  I remember thinking to myself, "I just need to get through this inning and then we've got this game."  I decided to change my windup and I reared back very far and fired as hard as I could.  That one pitch was amazing.  The batter swung at air as the ball passed him by.  The coach and the rest of the guys jumped up off the bench and cheered like I had never heard before.  I distinctly remember the amazement of it.  So, I did it again.  Swing and a miss, I blew it by him!  I thought "Wow! This is cool!"  I did it again. Another swing and a miss, strike 3, out.  I threw 10 pitches that inning. I struck out the side.  But that was it.  I had nothing left, and I knew it.  Another came on and pitched the final inning and we won.  In 1971, in Knoxville, that was the last inning of organized baseball I ever played in.  I tried to get on the Karns High School team, but, apparently with the coaches there, if you didn't play on the football team, you didn't play baseball there either.  That was a shame. So, I only played three years of organized ball.

In August of 1969, I spent a month in the University of Alabama Birmingham Psychiatric ward.  My dad told me later that my stepmother insisted on it because she was convinced I was insane or something because I was so different from her precious two.  That was a harrowing experience.  There I am, 12 years old, in a ward with older people who truly did have problems.  One I remember in particular.  He would walk around in a dazed state and just stare at stuff during the day, and spend the night pounding on the walls of the room they kept him in.  After that month, I became even more convinced that I needed to stay out of sight and avoid as much contact in my dad’s house as possible.  It was where I lived but I knew it wasn’t my home.

In September 1969, right out of the psych ward, school started and I had signed up at the end of the last year to play football.  So, I practiced for a season as an offensive lineman for the Greenwood Junior High School Rebels football team.  I knew next to nothing about football and basically was a body that they spent a lot of time using as a live blocking dummy that fall, dummy being the operative word.  I got into two games for a grand total of 4 plays.  I can’t say much more than that about my one season of football. Oh, I did get a school letter for being on the team.  Whoop-dee-doo.

Near the end of the 1969-70 school year, I got up one morning and put on my clothes and my green and white letter jacket and started for the bus stop.  My dad, who happened to be home that day, asked me “Are you going to wear that old jacket today?  Why don’t you wear something better?”  I told him it was just another day, so what?  And I went on to school.  Later that day, there was a school assembly.  We had those in the Gym.  I walked in and saw my Dad and my stepmother and wondered why in the world they were there.  I found out shortly.   Along with either 9 or 11 girls - I can't recall if there were 10 of us or 12 - I was tapped into the National Junior Honor Society.  Yes, I was the only boy that year.  (From the 3rd grade on, my grades were always good.)

An auspicious ending to a very weird year.

In the next chapter I will take this up from the Fall of 1970.

It begins...

Dear Theophilus,

In my opinion, the recent events of Chicago show the escalation of hostility against the good people of America.   The George Soros backed groups known as "Black Lives Matter", "Move On", and other assorted Saul Alinksy-type groups - including the Democrat Party - choreographed and danced their deadly opening act Friday night on America and Mr. Trump's voters in particular.

Now why would they choose to do this?  Why only Mr. Trump and his campaign?

Simply put, because he is a threat to them.

The media has shown their true colors by agreeing with the so-called "protesters".  And the three remaining Republican candidates have also agreed.

Why do I say that they agree with the protesters?  What else can it be?  To agree with the premise of anarchists and communists in one matter is to agree with their entire philosophy.  If they have their way, the end result will be a total breakdown of Law and Order in this country.

Does anyone think for a minute that this was just a one time thing?  "Oh, it's just Chicago" they will say.

The reality of the situation is the so-called "protesters" have now been empowered by the Media, the Republican Elite, and the also so-called "Conservative Movement" to do anything they wish and there will be no consequences.   This is just the beginning and the election, regardless of which way it goes, will not stop it.  This is a train running out of control now.

So, I ask you, Theophilus? Who will be blamed when the first death happens?  Will Mr. Trump be blamed for that?  As it stands now, that is a given.  The Media, the Democrat Party, the Republican Elites, and the "Conservative Movement" have spoken and the blame will be squarely on Mr. Trump and his voters.  A clear case of the Pot calling the Kettle Black. (Truly, no pun intended at all.)

Mark my words.  I said above that Chicago was the opening act. Believe me, that is exactly what it was.

Brace yourself, Theophilus! And for goodness sake, please protect yourself.  It's going to get really ugly from here.

As Always,

Guest Post ... Why Trump?

Dear Theophilus,

A friend of mine sent me a thesis that he wanted me to see.  I liked it so much I asked him if I could post it here.  He asked to remain anonymous because of where he works.  I have honored his request.

 Enjoy!

Why Trump?

I've been one of the silent majority following this election. Several years ago, after over 30 years as a register voter, I officially turned in my voters registration card. Why you might ask? Simply because I live in a county that's 80 to 90% Democrat, and I'm not. So every election when I cast my ballot, my "other guy" (or gal) never won. Thus all the electoral votes for my county went to the Democrat running for office. Finally I realized my vote counted for almost nothing and voting was a futile exercise. Over the years (when I was voting), for the most part I voted GOP (although I more aligned myself with Libertarians). But again, I realized that as long as I lived in the same county, there was no way my vote was count for anything.

All that being said.. While sitting on the sidelines as a spectator, non-voter, I've seen some things during the past few years that have disheartened me even more. I have seen the "party of Lincoln" high-jacked by moderates, who in reality vote like they're liberal. It finally dawned on me, that both the Democrats and Republicans are on the exact same page. They might turn to the right or left during an election, but really in the end they both do the same stupid, idiotic things..

First, they have no interest in securing our borders; second, (as Reagan once said) they "spend money like drunken sailors, not to offend hard-working sailors who actually earn their own drinking money"; and third, through rules and regulations, they make it very hard for corporations to produce almost anything in this country, thus all our jobs are going to other places.

Now I don't know about you, but to me those are three HUGE issues! When you don't enforce immigration laws, you end up with too many people to take care of. Just look at the major problems they have in Europe after allowing literally millions of people into their countries. They're doing that when they don't even have enough housing and jobs for their own people! Sound familiar?

In case you haven't noticed, things in this country have changed greatly in the past 10 years. We have so many people who are either coming over the border illegally or being allowed to get green cards. Now in my profession the average American worker can't stand a chance. Immigrants will work for a fraction of what an American will.

The second issue, spending money like drunken sailors is potentially even worse. If you or I went out and borrowed all the money we could, until our credit cards were all maxed out, but then went back to the bank to borrow more, we'd be turned down.

But with our lawmakers, they think our US budget doesn't have a credit limit. The Congress and Senate (who ARE responsible for appropriating the money this country spends).. have racked up 19 trillion in debt.

Do you realize how much money that is? To illustrate, if you took $100 bills and stacked them in piles, you could make stacks of money as high as 4 massive sky scrappers- buildings as high as the tallest building in New York City. Simply put, we can't hope to even pay the interest on that much debt. Basically, we're likely screwed.

If you've been through bankruptcy (as I have), you know the feeling when the hard cold reality sets in - "I'm going to lose everything I own". Even if you have never gone through that painful, gut-wrenching experience, I'm sure you can imagine, it's a hopeless place to be. Well folks, that's where we are now with our own country. But yet, the politicians (both Dem and GOP) have zero interest in changing that trend.

They bicker and fight in the news, but they both make backroom deals and play golf together on the weekends. Politicians in both the parties, with very few exceptions, have lined their pockets with money from lobbyists, made millions of dollars off shady budget deals and will do anything to keep things like they are now.

The third issue, jobs going overseas, has totally changed the landscape of the USA in my lifetime. I remember when a label saying "made in Japan" meant the product was of inferior quality. While "made in USA" always meant the item was a quality product.

How many things do you buy in the store that are made in the USA now? Hardly any. How many people getting food stamps now? How many are on welfare? How many people who had good jobs most of their lives have been out of work for years? It's not cool!

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize, if we don't change that trend, something's going to explode. What am I talking about? We're now using 'Russian rockets' to reach the space station! We actually have no "rocket scientists". Hey, maybe we should do something to bring good jobs home?

And then came Trump!

Now believe me, I get why people don't like him. He's like that uncle in your family who tells dirty jokes and rubs people the wrong way. He's rude, crude and (in ways) socially unacceptable. BUT here's the deal- he is NOT one of the good ole boys from Washington! If I were interviewing people for the job of the President, that would be my first requirement. I do NOT want another low-life politician whose already sold his soul to lobbyists and corporations.

He is also spending his own money to run for office and he hasn't asked for a single campaign contribution! He has not been bought and paid for. He might not have the "feel" our elite politicians have, but I have to admit, that's exactly the person I want as our President- someone whose simply himself, rough around the edges and abrasive!

As I told my wife- Trump could believe in fairies for all I care. Bottom line is- he is NOT a career politician. Think about that - after all the years of both parties kissing up to their base, but acting the same at the end of the day.. Can you really trust anyone labeled as a long-time politician? NOOO!

Most importantly, what are the main themes of Trump's campaign? Enforce immigration, get our finances in order and bring jobs back to the USA. Those are the same issues politicians have been ignoring for how many years? And does it cast a familiar chord??

I can hear it now- but wait, how can you vote for someone like Trump? He's a con man! Really, like the politicians in Washington DC aren't all con men? Give me a break! But wait, he's vulgar. Well, in case you've never read about Lyndon Johnson, he was as crude as they come, and so were many other Presidents. It's funny, but somehow our nation didn't crumble when those Presidents said a cuss word or told a dirty joke.

Personally I'd rather have a President that's rough around the edges and tells it like it is. Isn't that better than all the low-life politicians we've had for many years, who will lie to you in an instant?

Finally, the main reason I like Trump- because the Republican elites don't like him. Basically, I want someone to crash their establishment party and throw a proverbial hand-grenade into that "back room" where they've been making all those dirty deals.

Oh, in case you didn't notice, the way the GOP elites have been acting lately, you should be all the more convinced, Trump's the very guy with the hand-grenade needed to crash the party. My take- if the "establishment" hates him, he must be okay. At least he is NOT "them". I'm soo done with "THEM".

Now it's time to re-register to vote.

This time my vote might count.

That's his post.  On behalf of my friend, thanks for reading!

As always,

taj

So... Mr. Ted Cruz is your guy, yes?

Are you real sure about that?  You'd better be!  You'd better be really, really sure about that!

My current thoughts on the pending election...

Dear Theophilus,

There has always been in Christian circles, as long as I have been running in them, much talk of voting according to Christian Principles.  A friend, who shall remain nameless, wrote to me and stated it this way: "You know the only person who was perfect was Christ, but when Trump calls himself a Christian he is to be measured as Paul tells us to measure - by his words and deeds. It's not there." I presume he refers to this:

1 Corinthians 5:11-13 ESV  (11)  But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler--not even to eat with such a one.  (12)  For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge?  (13)  God judges those outside. "Purge the evil person from among you."

He adamantly points out Mr. Trump's use of bankruptcy, 2 divorces, etc.

He writes in his blog:

Remember, the author of "The Art of The Deal" is a consummate deal maker. He readily acknowledges using the laws to protect himself when he has filed for bankruptcy; he has admitted to changing his mind on virtually everything.

Donald Trump is not a conservative, he is a populist who will say whatever is needed at the moment. That is the art of a salesman...do what it takes to get the deal done. It is "the art of the deal."

Always remember bankruptcy hurts people. Many people never get paid for the goods and services they provided in good faith. Bragging about using the laws to better oneself at the expense of others is not a trait I want in our next President.

As you can see, this man has judged Mr. Trump unworthy to be President by his standards.

I would like to expound on those standards and what I think is going on in the spirit.

First, to my friend, I would ask this: Are we talking about electing him Pastor or Head Prophet or something?  No.  We're talking about the Presidency of the United States.

Earlier in 1 Corinthians, Paul writes this:

1 Corinthians 4:1-8 ESV  (1)  This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.  (2)  Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.  (3)  But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself.  (4)  For I am not aware of anything against myself, but I am not thereby acquitted. It is the Lord who judges me.  (5)  Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive his commendation from God.  (6)  I have applied all these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, brothers, that you may learn by us not to go beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up in favor of one against another.  (7)  For who sees anything different in you? What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it?  (8)  Already you have all you want! Already you have become rich! Without us you have become kings! And would that you did reign, so that we might share the rule with you!

Now the context of all of this is: "In the Church".  The problem is we are not talking about "Church".  We are talking about Government.  Now, as damning as all that my friend refers to is, are we to judge Mr. Trump unfit for our government because of his past?  If the answer is yes, well, then, let's damn them all, yes?  No one is truly fit for the Presidency as what we want is Christian Perfection, yes?  I see this as another way of saying "You're not good enough for my church until you clean yourself up!"

I also see this as just a symptom of a larger phenomenon among today's Christians.  What is really going on in evangelical circles is something called "Dominionism".

(From Wikipedia)
Journalist Frederick Clarkson defined dominionism as a movement that, while including Dominion Theology and Reconstructionism as subsets, is much broader in scope, extending to much of the Christian Right in the United States.

In 2005, Clarkson enumerated the following characteristics shared by all forms of dominionism:
 1) Dominionists celebrate Christian nationalism, in that they believe that the United States once was, and should once again be, a Christian nation. In this way, they deny the Enlightenment roots of American democracy.
 2) Dominionists promote religious supremacy, insofar as they generally do not respect the equality of other religions, or even other versions of Christianity.
 3) Dominionists endorse theocratic visions, insofar as they believe that the Ten Commandments, or "biblical law," should be the foundation of American law, and that the U.S. Constitution should be seen as a vehicle for implementing Biblical principles.

Now, am I calling my friend a dominionist?  No. Absolutely not. I am convinced he means well and is not overtly promoting "religious supremacy".  But, I know his belief system includes most of what was just listed.  I'm sure he has decided to judge Mr. Trump according to the book he lives his life by.  And that is fine.  I have no quarrel with that.  The net result is that he is judging Mr. Trump the same way, I presume, he would judge someone who would be applying for a position in his church.  Again, if he wants to do that, he has the right.  And, again, no quarrel from me.

However, having said all that, I do have another thought that may not have occurred to him or, perhaps, anyone else, either.

There is a case, in the Bible, of a non-believer that God calls "his anointed".

A man by the name of Cyrus, which history has dubbed Cyrus the Great.

Isaiah 45:1-5 ESV  Thus says the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped, to subdue nations before him and to loose the belts of kings, to open doors before him that gates may not be closed:  (2)  "I will go before you and level the exalted places, I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut through the bars of iron,  (3)  I will give you the treasures of darkness and the hoards in secret places, that you may know that it is I, the LORD, the God of Israel, who call you by your name.  (4)  For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen, I call you by your name, I name you, though you do not know me.  (5)  I am the LORD, and there is no other, besides me there is no God; I equip you, though you do not know me,

I will include a number of quotes following this to show some of the history of this man.

Cyrus II of Persia commonly known as Cyrus the Great and also called Cyrus the Elder by the Greeks, was the founder of the Achaemenid Empire.

The reign of Cyrus the Great lasted between 29 and 31 years. Cyrus built his empire by conquering first the Median Empire, then the Lydian Empire and eventually the Neo-Babylonian Empire. Either before or after Babylon, he led an expedition into central Asia, which resulted in major campaigns that were described as having brought "into subjection every nation without exception".

And this is one the most interesting things I found:

Cyrus the Great respected the customs and religions of the lands he conquered. It is said that in universal history, the role of the Achaemenid Empire founded by Cyrus lies in its very successful model for centralized administration and establishing a government working to the advantage and profit of its subjects.

The personage of Cyrus the Great is unconditionally praised in the Jewish sources. It is likely that, after the Persian conquest of Babylon, Cyrus had commenced his relationship with the Jewish leaders in exile, and that he later was considered as a messiah sent by Yahweh. Daniel was in the favor of Cyrus, and it was in the third year of Cyrus that he had the vision recorded in his tenth chapter.
Cyrus issued the decree of liberation to the Jews,[4] concerning which Daniel had prayed and prophesied. The edict of Cyrus for the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem marked a great epoch in the history of the Jewish people.

There is much more available which you, dear Theophilus, can find for yourself.  Here's the thing I want to bring out: In my spirit, my thoughts about Mr. Trump always come back to Cyrus. I see Cyrus when I see Mr. Trump.  I think this is significant.  I speak for myself, of course. And I make no prophetic claim of anything in this. Others can judge for themselves whether I'm on to something or just full of whatever.

My point in this is that it may not take a perfectly honed Christian man to be the one to finally shake off the shackles of progressive liberalism from our country and restore the Federal Government back to the people. It may just take a vulgarian Jacksonian hero who knows what to do and how to do it.  And in the end, America can be great again.

As always,
